5 Tins – The Young Vic

A collaboration with Northern Irish playwright Stacey Gregg as part of The Young Vic’s 5x5x5.

5 Tins is an autobiographical piece, using lip-syncing and strong visual symbolism. The work explores the conundrum of a playwright handing over their words to a director and an actor. It asks what the contract is in the transformation of real experience into fiction by an actor and in turn by an audience.
